Q.:- Which do you think is a more basic characteristic for classifying organisms?
(i) The place where they live.
(ii) The kind of cells they are made of why?

Answer:-

The basic characteristic for all living organisms is the kind of cells they are made of. This is because :

(i) All eukaryotic cells have membrane-bound organelles. These have a nucleus which controls the cellular processes to be carried out systematically.

(ii) These cells grow and become multicellular organisms and take up their specific functions.
