How does the embryo get nourishment inside the mother’s body?

Q. How does the embryo get nourishment inside the mother’s body?

Answer :-

The embryo grows inside the mother’s womb and gets nourishment from its mother’s blood through placenta. Placenta is a tube which connects the embryo with the navel of the foetus. This provides a large surface area for glucose and oxygen to pass to the embryo.
